RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

This policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK or applicable consumer protection law.

Handmade Nature of Products

All SJ Dulcey Studio items are individually hand-designed and hand-finished art pieces.

Minor variations in colour, texture, brush detail, pattern and finish are part of the handmade process and are not defects.

Right to Cancel (UK & European Consumers)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and applicable European consumer protection laws, consumers located in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area (EEA) have the right to cancel most physical goods orders within 14 days of receiving the item.

This applies to consumers located in:

United Kingdom

European Union Member States:

  • Germany

To exercise this right:

  • You must notify us in writing within 14 days of delivery.

  • Items must be returned within 14 days of your cancellation notice.

You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty.

Where cancellation rights apply, we will refund:

  • The full purchase price

  • The cost of standard outbound delivery

Upgraded or express shipping costs are non-refundable.

Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return.

Returns must be sent using a tracked service. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit during return.

We may deduct an amount from the refund if the value of the goods has been reduced due to handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged or faulty, contact us with clear photographs.

We request notification of transit damage within 48 hours to assist with courier claims. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Remedies will be provided in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.

Returns Requirements

  • Prior written approval required

  • Tracked return service required

  • Secure packaging required

We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

Return Costs

Buyer pays return shipping unless confirmed faulty.

Original standard shipping costs are refunded only where statutory cancellation applies.

Customs & International Orders

Customs duties and import charges are non-refundable.

If unpaid charges result in return, associated costs may be deducted from refund.

Lost Parcels

Carrier investigations must be completed before refunds or replacements are issued.

Damage After Delivery

Damage caused by misuse, overloading, moisture, heat, or improper handling is not covered.
